Workshop 13 How to Start a Time Bank

You’re interested and think it’s a good idea. Now what? How can you put your Time Bank together? What and who do you need? What’s most important and when? Share ideas with “newbies” and people who have started from scratch. Resources, tools and tips from the field.

Workshop 14 Time Banking and Health Care Systems: More Case Studies and Ideas for Your Community

Managed care, hospitals, and other facilities are using Time Banking with their employees as well as patients. So do visiting nurses and long term care organizations. Learn how you can add depth to your human resources without “breaking the bank.”

Workshop 15 Case Studies from Around the World

Communities around the world have set a pace for sharing their time and talents. In urban and suburban neighborhoods as well as small towns, Time Banking is maturing to new levels. Practitioners share lessons that can be applied in the U.S. and other countries.

Workshop 18 Informal Education: Tutoring, ESL & Adult Ed

Most tutoring programs start as “one-way,” with volunteers helping people who want to learn. Time Banking adds new dimensions through reciprocity, promoting people helping and learning from each other.
